Overview

Pares ni Peso Cabanatuan offers a comforting dive into traditional Filipino flavors with a focus on pares and silog dishes. Located conveniently on General Tinio Street in Cabanatuan City, this modest eatery delivers a savory take on the classic pares, steering clear of the sweeter variants often found elsewhere. Their menu highlights homestyle silog meals that include an array of favorites such as pork tapa, beef longganisa, and bangus daing, paired perfectly with garlic rice and eggs cooked sunny side up.

The restaurant’s appeal lies in its straightforward approach—simple, hearty meals that satisfy hearty appetites. While the shop's interior is compact, making it ideal for quick meals rather than long gatherings, it still manages to create an inviting atmosphere for casual diners or students looking for a filling and flavorful option. The unli-rice add-on is a smart touch, catering well to those who prioritize volume and value.

For customers on a budget, free purified water is offered, balancing out the slightly higher pricing that might feel steep for some, especially students. The food itself justifies the cost, particularly if you’re craving the richness and depth of a well-executed pares meal. Drinks like classic Coke and refreshing pineapple juice complement the savory dishes, rounding out the dining experience.

Overall, Pares ni Peso Cabanatuan stands out as a reliable spot for authentic pares and silog dishes in Nueva Ecija. Its main clientele likely includes local workers, students, and anyone seeking an upgraded yet unpretentious eating experience. If your day calls for savory flavors and a quick, satisfying meal in a no-frills setting, this spot is worth a try despite its limited space.

This is your typical pares and tapsi place upgraded. The place can only seat a couple, however, The food is good, You can add P20 to any meals for unli-rice, you can opt to just drink free water if you're in a budget. Pricing is a little high for students but worth it if you need to munch lots of rice.
